Our tips for using SKIN CONTROL wet food:

Please always offer your cat the food fresh and room temperature, as stale or cold food irritates the stomach and intestines.
We recommend storing opened canned food in a neutral plastic container in the refrigerator. The oxidation of open cans can lead to a loss of acceptance in the animal.
If your cat prefers dry food, we recommend MERAVITAL SKIN CONTROL dry food (please DO NOT feed this in combination with MERAVITAL SKIN CONTROL wet food in the case of allergies, as no statement can be made about allergies due to the different protein sources – so the “either-or- Principle”).
When carrying out an elimination diet (e.g. to rule out food allergies), it is imperative that your cat is fed exclusively with MERAVITAL SKIN CONTROL, as all other foods contain additional allergens (including normal treats, milk, etc.) Make treatment more difficult or falsify the diagnosis.
Instead of giving your cat treats, give your cat attention in the form of praise and pats.
Explain to the people around your cat why they are not allowed to give it any food other than MERAVITAL SKIN CONTROL.

General tips for cats with allergies and skin conditions:

Regular medicated baths or soothing sprays often provide relief for many skin conditions – ask your veterinarian about appropriate treatment options.
Keep all areas around the cat clean and as free of dust as possible.
Clean all bowls daily with hot water and washing-up liquid or in the dishwasher.
